About NAWAIQ - The National Association of Women in AI

    About NAWAIQ

Two Leaders. One Mission. A Future Built for Women.

LaVada English and Melissa Northway founded NAWAIQ to equip women with the education, community, leadership, and practical AI skills needed to learn, lead, and win in the AI economy.

    Our Vision & Mission

Building a National Home for Women in AI

    Vision

To catapult more women into millionaires than any organization that has ever existed.

To catapult more women into millionaires than any organization that has ever existed, empowering women to build wealth and win with AI.

    Mission

    To provide support.

To provide support, education, and advocacy so women can use AI confidently, from first steps to scaling AI-enabled companies. We meet women where they are and propel them forward.

“We're building more than an organization, we're creating a movement, combining the agility of a for-profit structure with the mission-driven impact of nonprofit work to serve every woman, regardless of her starting point.”

    Our Story

From Two Conversations to a National Movement

When LaVada English and Melissa Northway first met, they were already deep in the work of helping women rise, mentoring leaders, building programs, and proving that collaboration isn't just powerful, it's transformative.

Years later, as artificial intelligence began reshaping every corner of work and business, their conversations turned to what comes next. Everywhere they looked, women were learning in silos, each figuring out AI alone, often unsure where to begin. LaVada and Melissa saw a pattern: the same brilliance that built companies and communities could just as easily build the future, if women did it together.

So they launched the National Association of Women in AI (NAWAIQ) to be that home. A place where women learn, lead, and win with AI. Where curiosity replaces fear, and collaboration turns technology into opportunity.

Because history shows what happens when women unite: they create the systems that sustain us. And in this new era, understanding AI isn't optional, it's the next act of building the village.
